Over the last couple of weeks the team here at Momenta have been taking part in a couple of national charity events.
Jeans for Genes Day
Friday 19th September was the annual Jeans for Genes Day. Everyone at Momenta enjoys our ‘dress-down Fridays’ but it felt even better this day in order to give to such a great cause.
We raised a total of £140 and you can find more information about the charity here - http://www.jeansforgenesday.org/
Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning
Friday 26th September was Macmillan Cancer Support’s national Coffee Morning. This is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event across the UK and last year they raised an amazing £20 million!
Momenta were thrilled to take part this year and it was great to see so many members of staff getting involved and bringing in such lovely homemade cakes and bakes – lemon drizzle cake, victoria sponge, cookies, flapjacks, cheese puffs, peanut butter brownies…to name but a few!
After a morning of cake, raffles and competitions we raised £280!
You can keep track of how much Macmillan raise this year here - http://coffee.macmillan.org.uk/Home.aspx
We wish both charities all the best with their fundraising efforts and look forward to taking part next year!
